Hi, I’m Keirin.

The most courageous thing you can do is be yourself.

My Story and Purpose

My own journey has been one of profound healing and knowing self. It has meant healing through complex trauma, c-ptsd, anxiety, grief, divorce, financial strain and chronic health issues. I have found with each time I felt life would break me, it was actually life leading me through a deeper healing and breaking me open to an even richer life. It is my honor to hold space for you in your most challenging moments or when you are questioning your life. You are not meant to go at this alone, profound healing and meaningful discovery so often thrives with the support of a safe witness.

My professional background

I am a certified Yoga Therapist from Loyola Marymount University, one of the only universities in the world with a prestigious IAYT-accredited Yoga Therapy Rx program. This two-year program included in-depth training from Western and Eastern doctors alike. My thesis was on how mental health and emotional healing is possible through connection to the body. I am also certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from The Embody Lab. This somatic approach to trauma-informed care includes a deeper understanding of the body’s relationship with social, environmental, developmental, relational, spiritual and cultural wounding and healing. I began my healing studies in 2008, when I received my 200 hour yoga teacher certification in Kundalini and Hatha yoga from Karuna Yoga.

Since then, I have studied somatics, trauma, spirituality and healing with world renowned psychotherapists, doctors, spiritual teachers and coaches. Including: Healing Intergenerational Trauma with Dr. Peter Levine and Efu Nyaki, Dr. Peter Levine’s Healing Trauma through Somatic Experiencing, Rich Litvin’s Coaching Intensive, Pema Chodron: Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change; Matt Kahn: Rewire Your Reality, The End of Anger, Entering Eternal Bliss, Transcending Your Patterns, Relationships & Soul Contracts, True Divine Nature Immersion. My background is as an artist, I received my BFA in Acting from Rutgers University, trained at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London and worked professionally as an actor for 15 years.

I have worked one:on:one with clients navigating divorce, grief, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, IBS, BPD, C-PTSD, Bipolar Disorder and trauma. I have lead groups in hospitals, museums, non-profits, theaters, acting studios, support groups, corporations and schools. Some group clients have included: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, The Children’s Hospital LA, True Religion Jeans, St. James School, Marlborough School, Los Angeles Tar Pits, The Geffen Playhouse and Johnson Fain Architecture. I’ve spent over a decade coaching clients to transform their lives.

“Keirin helped me combine my traditional therapy and personal spiritual practice in a way I was able to use during a season of transition and growth. Feeling safe and seen was very important to me and Keirin creates just that. Being able to reflect on current and past similarities without the pressure of “fixing” anything and to recognize and honor my state of being perfectly imperfect... and we laughed a lot.”
